Keep Talented Young Employees

Christopher here again with another self serving and redundant post. Recently, Credit Union Magazine asked members of Filene's 30 under 30 group for their thoughts on keeping talented young adult employees. I was one of the members who responded and my thoughts were subsequently published online. > Click here to read the interview Fellow members Robin Hickey and Megan Primeau are featured as

Filene's 30 under 30 Interim Report Released

As many YES CU Blog loyal readers know, I've been posting a lot recently about ideas and thoughts relating to my participation in the Filene Research Institute's 30 under 30 group. Yesterday, Filene released the interim report on the group and I encourage you to download and read it here. One of the most interesting parts of the report are the brief descriptions of each sub-group's project

Please Take Our Filene 30 under 30 Survey!

As I relayed in previous posts, I am part of the new 30 under 30 program through the Filene Research Institute. We are a group of young whippersnappers developing solutions for credit unions to better serve young adults (ages 18 to 30). Similar to Filene's i3 concept, the 30 under 30 group is broken up into ten groups, where each of us is working on a different product/idea to recruit/retain

Welcome!

This new community is the place for you to share ideas, discuss issues, and showcase best practices that attract young adult members and their financial business.

It's also a social networking sandbox - a place for you to play around and get comfortable with the technology that a majority of young adults are using.

How to get started:

1. Set up your profile.
2. Join a group.
3. Read and post comments then respond to others' in the forums.
4. Make friends and write on their profile wall.
5. Invite colleagues to participate.
6. Better serve young adults.

Curious about what you can post here on the Community? Simply put, if it's credit union related, go for it! Think twice if your post has nothing to do with the demographic and/or credit unions. For more info, check out the Forum Guidelines and Photo Guidelines.

Forum In The Works - Better Serving Your Community

Hey guys, I'm just posting a quick blog about an idea I had - I'm looking for ideas on how to initiate this idea, as I have the concept, but not the FULL way to go about this. I know here at my place of employeement, we have a couple organizations we benefit - the most recent one coming up is for Arthritis Foundation. One thing I would like to do is start a forum, asking how you as an employee of your credit union try to get members involved. And, for those more involved with the youngin's, how… Continue

Photo & Video Guidelines

In order to promote personal expression, stay true to the purpose of the Community, make it easier to find photos you’re looking for, and manage the limited amount of bandwidth, I’m asking that members:

o limit the number of personal photos to a profile photo and one other,

o limit the number of credit union photos to 4

To clarify, personal photos are identified as anything non-credit union related. Also, please post only credit union or young adult related videos to the Community.

Please adjust your profile to fit these guidelines

Want more information on why these guidelines are established? Check out the Photos Discussion in the Forum and leave your thoughts, questions, and comments.

Thanks in advance,

Josh Jones.
